Comfy hotel almost in the middle of nowhere :) Friendly staff. The hotel has a restaurant, which is quite convenient for dinner and that we recommend. Would come back again. Ps. As Italians, we appreciated a lot the Nespresso coffee machine for breakfast

Located in the country side, Hotel Stundarfridur offers accommodation 12 km from Stykkishólmur. This property provides guests with a terrace. There is also a restaurant and a shared lounge. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms inside the main building were large and well appointed. Although dinner and breakfast not included, these were reasonably priced and large, tasty portions. Should be a great location to see the Northern Lights just make sure you book a clear sky with your room ;)

This award-winning, eco-friendly hotel is on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, 6 km from Iceland’s famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano. we were able to see the northern lights at this location, the night time sky was clear enough. food at the restaurant was great!

Situated by the sea in the fishing village of Stykkisholmur, Hotel Stykkisholmur offers free Wi-Fi and brightly decorated rooms with a TV. Stykkisholms Golf Club is 100 metres away. We stayed in a suite, there was a private living and dinning room with a half bath and the bed room with a full bathroom off of it. There was a huge jacuzzi (4 people at least) and one of the largest showers I was ever in. The lighting is all adjustable (dimmable). The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
