A lovely - and very Thai town.
A lovely - and very Thai town. It was relaxed, and combined both older Thai areas, with more modern malls (such as Robinsons and Central). The views of the bay and town from the temple at the end of the pier (Wat Ko Loi) were excellent. There is also quite a Japanese community in town. What also made Si Racha so nice is that it is easy to make lovely day trips to places such as Ko Sichang (a real highlight - the beach was lovely and peaceful) and Bang Saen (though of those two places Ko Sichang is much nicer). I'm very pleased I visited.

Si Racha OK for me, I was there for familial reasons and just for daily life. But I should not recommend Si Racha for tourists: crowded, traffic, pollution; beach 30 min away by car, a lof of Japanese working people. Advantage: good street noodle shops and good japanese restaurants. Not to much night life.

The town is in an industrial region of Thailand with many factories nearby. Very modern and clean but lacking much of interest to tourists. Good for a 1 night stay not far from the huge resort town of :Pattaya.

Si Racha has several nice traveling places for visitors.
Si Racha has several nice traveling places for visitors. I like the a glass bridge of the sky walk at Wat Khao Tabaek and to praying respect to Buddha at Wat Koh Loy, a peaceful temple near the sea and near the hotel. A public park near the hotel is accessible and nice. Seafoods are fresh and delicious at Ad seafood restaurant and BangPhra Seafoods restaurant.Muenchaisri - 8.0Scored 8.0

It is not crowded to sta and it is not too far to access other beaches such as Pattaya, Bang Saen, Rayong. There are 2 big department stores and many restaurants. You can have a dinner with a good view at the hotel or by the bay such as Ao Udom (The Sight Sea@Ao Udom)ปปิยะวรรณThailand

Our 2 bed apartment with sea views was exceptional, along with the staff and facilities. The free tuk tuk into town is handy, although it is only a 5min walk to where the restaurants are (near Atara Mall) or a 10min walk to Pacific Mall (Robinsons). Having a side kitchen in the apartment made for a home away from home. Decent size car park, never had an issue parking our rental car. Would definitely use this residence again.David72United Kingdom
