We loved the remoteness of the place. Perfect for larger family groups. We arrived late at night and still found someone waiting to greet us. Impressive view points 10/15min away. (My favourite viewpoints in the whole island)

Very central to a lot of points of interest on Sao Miguel island, and everything was easily accessible by car. Also, Ribeira Grande itself boasts some fun cafés, restaurants, a grocery store, and a beach, most within walking distance of Quinta do Passo. Our host Nuno was very friendly and gave us some great tips on spots to check out on the island.

It is easy to see that the comfort and well being of her guests are on Maria’s mind. The house is spotlessly clean, well appointed and very spacious. Having an accommodation on 2 levels is an extra bonus. The kitchen is fully functional and there is even a bag with towels ready for those who are heading to the beach. The garden has plenty of room to sit or enjoy a meal. The village is quiet, yet easily accessible. Should we return to San Miguel Island, Maria’s Haven will be our first choice of accommodation.

The facility is equipped with everything that you need, even fruit and food was provided. The landlady was extremely nice and helpful. The parking place in the immediate vicinity was an added value.
