It was walking distance from everything. It was well appointed with a lovely kitchen and beautiful bath. The shared garden was lovely and everything was immaculate. Very easy checking in and the manager was very responsive.

Truly amazing place, and Hitty was so incredibly kind to us. He shared the house’s history with us & even brought us up into another part of the house to share some samurai era relics with us. We were personally met by Hitty & given sweets when we arrived, so make sure you give him an accurate time of arrival - we ran late on a tour but he was so gracious and kind about it. He made us a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant and we had an amazing meal. 10/10, highlight of our trip so far & we will be back!!

We picked up the keys at an office within walking distance of the train station. Check-in was quick, and the staff spoke very good English. From there, we took a bus and walked about 5 minutes from the bus station to reach the house. The house was very nice and located in a quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Well stocked kitchen, and 10 mins into the nearby onsen town which has a good grocery store. It was such a nice quiet retreat from our city travels, and the best sleep I got all trip. The host family was so sweet, I was sad we had to leave so soon. Definitely recommend making the trip! We were just 2 people but I'd love to come back with more friends and their kids, it was very well set up for larger families.
