Communication with owner was super quick, he was very helpful. The facilities at the house were amazing - there was food and bottles of water ready for us to use, we were able to do washings (detergent was in the house), the bathroom was stacked with supplies and all rooms were provided with aircons. The house itself was really clean, and the location was perfect, everything was walking distance. Can't say anything else but great value for the money spent! Would definitely come back here.

Absolutely stunning place - the owners have done a fantastic job of remodelling this house. A beautiful view and great facilities. Very comfortable bed. We had “fun” driving the extremely steep and winding roads in our large car. Fortunately the owner was on hand to direct us when we got a bit lost. Definitely make sure you ask him for an exact map and location and definitely drive up the main road instead of the tiny narrow road up to the property. Your sat nav will probably take you the shortest route so you’ll have to figure it out. We walked into Pinhão twice. It’s a 30 minute downhill walk (your legs may feel it!) but it’s straightforward. Take a large umbrella and watch the dogs on the way down. We also went to the most beautiful winery Quinta Do Jalloto - that isn’t that far away up the hill to the main village and well worth a visit. The views are spectacular. We did a tour, had tastings and charcuterie platter. Antonio the owners son is an incredible and very passionate host. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended. The photos don’t do it justice!

We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta do Fraguil. The house is beautiful, spacious, and surrounded by vineyards, with breathtaking views over the Douro Valley from every window. It’s incredibly peaceful — you feel like you have the whole valley to yourself. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, even for a serious cook, and the beds are very comfy. Rui, the host, is amazing — so welcoming, attentive, and full of great local tips. His recommendations made our stay truly special. A magical place to relax and enjoy nature! Definitely will return!
