The owner is really nice lady,ready to help.The house was clean,very well prepared with all you need and there wS also a local wine left as present which was very nice .The location is good for travelling,it is on the msin road which is very busy during day,but night is ok.There is a big parking place on the opposite of the house,bar next to the house.Thx a lot for nice stay,we would recommend this place..

The hospitality of the hosts, they're a lovely family, they made feel at home from the very onset. They were so kind giving me so much more than a I could expect for. They offered me fruits from their own plants and trees, They have parrots at the backyard, a couple of lovely cats and a beautiful dog. The shower is so good. There soap, towels and shower gel. There was a coffee machine with capsules to help yourself. There were heaters in the rooms, fans, wardrobes, mirrors... I mean it has it all you need... water heating machine... toast maker... even a laundry/washing machine... I had a great time... I arrived late at night after driving around and they invited me inside their own home, I met their younger son and also invited to join them for dinner... what else can you ask for? They're the best one can expect for.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Jolie. The house is spacious, spotless, and offers a breathtaking view of the ocean from the terrace and two balconies. It’s so comfortable that it was honestly hard to leave and explore the island. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern and well equipped. We also appreciated having a washing machine, dryer, and even a steam iron — all of which made our stay extra convenient. Self check-in and check-out were smooth and easy, making the arrival and departure stress-free. Gaspar was a wonderful host — welcoming and thoughtful. He greeted us with delicious local treats, including honey cake and fresh potato bread. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by banana plantations, which gives it a peaceful and authentic Madeiran feel. Parking is available directly at the property, and the location is ideal as a base to explore the island — whether you’re heading to the mountains, the coast, or nearby trails. One of the most beautiful and less crowded levada walks — Levada do Moinho and Levada Nova — starts just a 4-minute walk from the house. We’d definitely love to return and highly recommend Casa Jolie to anyone visiting Madeira.

The room was exceptional—far beyond expectations. Everything necessary was provided, and even more. The owner’s recommendations for eating out upon arrival were especially helpful, as many places in Madeira tend to offer only basic deep-fried food. It’s also worth mentioning separately that I had no trouble finding parking just 200 meters from the residence (mid-April), which is quite a luxury on Madeira.

Lockbox on door was easy to use. Superbly clean. Loads of space. Super comfy beds and comforter and sheets. Upscale house all around. Easy to park. All the small things of home (powerful shower, high end toiletries, cozy blanket, cup of tea, extra towels, tons of fridge space, kitchen fully stocked, outdoor patio, neighborhood coffee shop, loads of books). The list could go on and on. This place made travel so easy!
