THE VIEW WAS OUTSTANDING. Definitely worth the steps and the climb to the top. We spent many an hour enjoying the views. And when we weren’t on the balcony we were exploring the streets of the Medina. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops and markets. Our accommodation was lovely with all the comfort you need and a delicious simple breakfast set out for us in our kitchen/dining area.

This is a beautiful villa, although only the bottom half is included in the rental, but with two bedroom, a huge lounge, spacious kitchen, two bathrooms and a massive garden area by the river, it was more than enough. The host and his wife were super-friendly and nothing was too much trouble, I had a problem with a car tyre & he kindly arranged for someone to come and help us. The beds are firm and very comfy, there is a large screen TV with satellite enabled in the lounge, which was really useful on the rainy days. There is ample parking in the driveway behind the safe gated front area, a huge patio out the back and a sheltered patio with seating in the front, all secluded from view, the kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, coffee percolator, gas range and good hot water. The garden is mostly wild, allowing for a diverse range of flowers & pollinators, the river runs along the bottom of it, but there are reeds so it is not accessible, but there's a wonderful symphony of sounds from the birds & animals at night. The location is great, midway between Ksar es-Seghir town and Tangiers, but extremely rural, with lots of domestic animals around and a couple of mini-markets just up the road, selling all the essentials. The long beautiful beach of Oued Alian is just 5 minutes away and well worth a day out for a swim, also the Medina of Tetouan is just an hour south, with it's incredible Souk (street Markets) a must see! The people, we found to be incredibly friendly, generous and willing to chat, help and guide, these are simple country folk who value friendship and are ever willing to give anything they have.

one word, INSPIRING! Tucked away within the vibrant maze of the Kasbah, this Riyadh offers a captivating blend of traditional Moroccan architecture and the Mediterranean. It was convenient as you are a right by the main rood to enter the Kasbah. Nonetheless, Each room is adorned with so many ornaments and colourful textiles that really reflect Morocco’s rich heritage. The courtyard at the roof was so cosy and you will get breath-taking views over the city's bay and you can see Spain! Personally this Riyadh is not just a stay, it’s was an unforgettable experience for me filled with magic, and timeless beauty. I will definitely be staying here again.

Extremely large, spacious, beautifully and tastefully decorated riad in an excellent location in the heart of the medina - just a few minutes from the Petit Socco. Beautiful rooftop terrace with private plunge pool, bar, stereo system, sofas and loungers. Six large bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. TV with Netflix, foosball / football table kept us well-entertained. There is even a corner area with toys, books and kid-sized furniture for younger children. Well stocked kitchen. Includes breakfast, which is prepared to order by the lovely Saadia, who came over in the morning to cook for us. An absolutely perfect experience that made our trip to Tangiers even more memorable.
