The property was even nicer than what was shown int the pictures. I love the layout where it was slightly above ground. Very bright and airy. First time I have a host leaving many post it notes all over for instructions, where supplies are, or how a/c has to be operated, simple and direct and made everything so very easy to operate and use. Instead of always going back to a manual to figure things out. I loved the notes. Parking was on driveway literally 3 steps to the door. Just due to the nature of our trip, we didn’t cook, but this is very well stocked, even with barbecue and BBQ utensils.

Julia was very welcoming and there were lemon cakes as arrival present. She went above and beyond by giving us the old child seat of her son as a present so we did not need to buy a new one ourselves.

The property was the perfect location for a family reunion. We all had ample space. We spent time to cook and the kitchen was well equipped. A lot of thought went into ensuring that everything was functional. Small things, like plenty of plates so that you do not have to wash up plates before using the next one. Spices were provided along with a lot of other complimentary food items. Hassy even left us a complimentary bottle of wine! Over the top really and not expected. The quality of the house was exceptional and way better than we were expecting! We run a lodge in northwest BC and know how much work goes into providing high quality service. Hassy is as good at it gets! Highly recommend.

This was probably the best equipped place I have stayed in. It was like a home from home. The location was good. A 20 minute drive from Victoria and conveniently located to access other parts of southern Vancouver Island.

The location was quiet and relaxing but not too far from the action in Sidney as well as the ferry terminal at Schwartz Bay The accomodation was fantastic with separate space for my sister and I. The surrounding gardens are pretty and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped.

We walked in to find a lovely complimentary bottle of wine in this beautiful cottage. It was spotlessly clean and the owners have thought of everything to make it comfortable. We enjoyed the movie theatre downstairs and the comfy lounge upstairs. We enjoyed great music whilst preparing dinner in the well appointed kitchen.. VI cottage was only 10 minutes from Butchart Gardens and the cute township of Sidney.
