All people working there are very dedicated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You have an option of welcome drinks and coffee/tea, snacks, water/local beer, in a hotel and will get tips on all Locarno activities. Surrounded by a garden with a heated outdoor pool, Smart-HOTEL MINUSIO, a Swiss Quality Hotel is a 2-minute drive from the centre of Locarno and Lake Maggiore. All rooms have a balcony or a terrace with garden access. Free WiFi is available. Very clean room. Good location - close to a bus station and supermarket. Personal was very friendly and positive. They have great attention to people - make me a surprise for my b-day. Recommend them.

One parking space on site is guaranteed per room. The Ascona Bus Stop is 500 metres away. It was a perfect stay. The hotel is close to downtown. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. They also have a privat parking direct at the hotel. The hotel is super clean. The personal is outstanding, very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. We would always go back as soon as we are in this region of Switzerland.

The bright rooms at Luna Garni Hotel are equipped with cable TV, an electronic safe, a work desk, and a modern bathroom with a shower or bath. Good location, quiet street, but still in the centre of the city. Parking 10 CHF per night, no problem with spaces. Good breakfast, everything we would like to see. Nice and helpful staff. At night the hotel has no receptionist, you have to collect your keys until late. Funny but useful system for the keys - you leave you big key and take small one with you. Same key opens the front door. Rooms are spacious enough, clean and fresh. If you are late there is a fridge with drinks and you just put down what you took. Good system!

We liked everything in our garden view room. Then the delicious dinner and breakfast. Staff were generous with their time and effort to make us comfortable. Charme Hotel and Restaurant is a special hide away in a busy but scenic valley on edge of Locarno, Switzerland. Looking forward to returning SOON!

Boasting mountain views, Residenza Motta provides accommodation with a casino, a garden and a bar, around 300 metres from Piazza Grande Locarno. This 3-star apartment offers luggage storage space, a concierge service and free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Great location as base for exploring surrounding area just a short walk to train/bus stations, as well as to grocery store Coop and many restaurants around. quiet with beautiful inner courtyard. There's someone at reception during the day, except weekend. The host was very quick to respond. There's laundry room at the property with a metered washer and dryer which was convenient. Just ask for coins at reception. Note that each coin will operate the washer or dryer for 30 minutes so just use more coins as necessary. Just a note for those coming in summer months, there's no aircon, didn't matter when I was there.

The Hotel Al Fiume is located 4 km from Locarno and Ascona, the only hotel in the area away from the main roads and train tracks, located in a peaceful green garden with tropical plants, directly on the sandy beach of the Maggia river, ideal for bathing and diving. Family owned and run. They take a lot of pride in their establishment and work hard to provide a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful, very clean and very welcoming. Off the beaten path but perfect for an authentic experience.

Hotel Collinetta in Ascona can be found amid a Mediterranean park with palm and lemon trees right above Lake Maggiore and offers you rooms with balcony or terrace. There is also a restaurant, an indoor pool (march to november) and a small fitness room. The hotel went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay special! The hotel is in a great location just outside of Ascona, great views of the lake, has a great breakfast and while we didnt eat there the restaurant for dinner looked very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful, expecially with our early check out.
