Villa Athena, a modern 5-star hotel, is located within Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features a wellness centre, an outdoor pool, and both free parking and free Wi-Fi throughout. We had a very comfortable room with a small terrace and a view over one of the Temples. The restaurant was excellent both for food and drinks (high quality wines). The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to provide useful travel tips.

This place far exceeded our expectations. It was fantastic. Secure free parking. A huge room. A comfortable bed. Coffee and tea facilities in our room. Robes and slippers. The place has two pools - one indoor where there's a sauna and a steam room as well. The outside pool was being renovated and should be refilled soon. It was extremely good value too. We were given a voucher to take to a nearby place to get breakfast.

The breakfast offers à la carte, continental or Italian options. The owners, Pamela and Pepe, were wonderful. They greeted us warmly, helped us with parking and the luggage, made dinner recommendations and reservations. We felt so welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was a delight. All locally procured savory and sweet delicacies served beautifully in our suite. The suite was gorgeous and well appointed. The shower was really great with lots of extras, especially the view over the countryside and mountaintop town of Calanisetta. The stay was a highlight of our trip through Sicily.
