My mornings began with an incredible breakfast spread offering a vast array of delicious options from across India and beyond. The culinary excellence was matched only by the service and presentation. What truly set this experience apart was the sense of history that envelops the hotel. A special thank you to Mr. Newton, the in-house historian, who spent two hours personally walking me through the rich legacy of the palace. Having worked there for over 44 years, his stories, insights, and passion brought the walls of the hotel to life. It was like walking through time, guided by someone who had lived it. I only stayed four days, and it wasn’t nearly enough. I didn’t want to leave. Next time, I’ll be staying longer—because the Taj isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a destination in itself. The details in the hotel, all the art work, privacy. It made our trip to Bombay memorable.

Vegetarian and halal options can also be requested. Room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent. All in all, outstanding value for money. After checking out, I needed a power adapter for my phone. After a brief hunt, one was produced. It turned out that it belonged to the hotel manager. I chatted with her briefly and was highly impressed with her enthusiasm and determination to run the best hotel possible.

They are kind and highly professional and take care to make your stay special. Breakfast was delicious. Special thanks to the restaurant manager Navneet Tripathi who took care that everything was perfect. The breakfast buffet offers everything you wish for and has healthy and tasty choices. This hotel has the best staff I have seen for quite a while.
