On the site of the former Clifden Railway Station, Clifden Station House offers well-appointed bedrooms and self-catering apartments. There is a pool and Connemara National Park is a 15-minute drive.

We were just overwhelmed by this place. We got a cozy double room on the first floor with a big balcony. The very inviting Lodge-Style of this hotel made us want to stay forever. Its a small, hidden paradise surrounded by breathtaking nature. The room was super clean and very well designed, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. It was accesible from a beautiful inner courtyard. The balcony had a nice view into the forrest and the mountains behind. A great, high quality breakfast was included with a lots of different stuff to choose from. Over all, one of the best experiences we had so far.
The only downside: Even though the restaurant is high quality and serves delicious meals, there is almost nothing else around, so you are kind of depending on them and what they offer. Since its a "higher class" restaurant, you have to take at least two courses, priced from 39€ upwards. There is no simple menu with regular meals to choose - two people pay at least 90€ per evening with no other option. Still, the meals were amazing and of good quality.
Over all, it was the most enjoyable stay on our journey so far. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The property is absolutely stunning and the grounds are just beautiful and so well maintained. The food was spectacular from breakfast, lunch, the dining was amazing and the bar good also incredible. The pool was heated, very clean and gorgeous to be in. The hot tubs are also extremely well kept with the most stunning view. The staff were all fabulous and could not do enough for us. Such a gorgeous location for a relaxing break with beautiful food and service. We absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly be back.

It was unique and had kept the original style and qualities of the castle. The room was gorgeous and so spacious as well as having a beautiful bath. The staff were very nice and helpful. Brian and Ronan the owners were so welcoming and friendly and on hand to play their part which emphasises the care that is put into the premises. The breakfast was delicious and was definitely worth getting out of the very comfy bed for…which says a lot

The hotel is in the centre of Clifden, there were plenty of parking spaces for easy access to the hotel. the Spa is free to residents, good to have a sauna and steam room to help with your aching muscles. The staff and facilities were first rate. The breakfast was buffet style allowing you to fill your plate with as much as you wanted to get you through the morning. overall well worth a stay.
