The details... they take good care of all the details. We stayed at Benben for three days, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place exudes Egyptian Santorini vibes, offering a perfect retreat for those seeking disconnection. The staff truly made our stay exceptional—especially Nirvana, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. All staff members were polite, genuine, and incredibly helpful, always ready to assist sincerely. The property is beautifully maintained (a rarity in Egypt), and the food was consistently delicious. The multi-level design adds charm to the place, but it’s worth noting there are some steps or ramps to navigate. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it might be challenging for those with mobility concerns. That said, they have a small tok-tok available to help with luggage or transport around the property. The boat service to the island was seamless and well-organized. We only had to give them a 10-15 minute heads-up, and the boat was always ready—free of charge 24/7. Upon our arrival, the boat was waiting for us at the marina, and the staff ensured everything was set for a smooth check-in. Overall, Benben By Dhara is a rare gem, perfect for couples. We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway.

Apartment styled hotel in family-like building with cosy rooms and tremendous hospitality by the host owner Mr Mohammad & the hotel staff. Ir is near to Abu Simbel temple (10-15 minutes leisure walk) or 3 to 5 mins drive. Breakfast is served with kind homely atmosphere. The hotel is located 1.1km nearby the Abu Simbel temple entrance ticket area (15mins casual walk) and hosted by the most friendliest, honest & hospitable down to earth owner in Egypt. We booked the Economy Double Room and it was really spacious similar to a master bedroom complete with private bathroom toilet, waldrobe cupboard, table and fridge. The beds and mattresses are really comfortable and thick and the 2 pillows provided per person is equally fluffy thick and soothing for an ergonomical good night's rest. We love staying in Sama Stars Hotel in Abu Simbel and the owner also offered guests an option to enjoy a sunset boat ride for USD$15 per person in Lake Nasser to experience a kaleidoscopic boat ride overlooking the lake and the majestic stone rock mountains nearby the temple. Breakfast is also provided complimentary in the room that we booked from bookingcom and the host really served a hearty breakfast of pastries, yogurt, cheese, bread, olives, scramble eggs, cucumbers and tomatoes mediterranean egypt style. Really recommend to stay here if you are at Abu Simbel as for only USD$60+ (bookingcom rate), we had a fulfilling stay and experience and comfort in Abu Simbel while visiting the famous UNESCO Abu Simbel Temple

We booked a villa for our family of five, which had three spacious bedrooms and a beautiful view of the Nile River. Every moment at the resort was peaceful, joyful, and truly memorable. The highlight of our stay was the heartfelt birthday surprise prepared for my mom. The flowers and towel decorations were so lovely that she didn’t even want to lie down — she kept opening and closing the door just to relive that magical first impression. When we returned in the evening, the beautifully plated birthday message and the delicious cake touched her heart once again. Above all, we are deeply grateful to Manager Rawan, whose kindness and care made our trip to Aswan truly special. Thanks to her thoughtful attention, we had such a happy and meaningful experience.
