There are pools right outside your room open all the time. The staff is extremely attentive. Services at the spa are well worth it. On this visit due to a mechanical the morning flight never left Cuenca so I arrived after reception should have been closed. I had called ahead and was told the guard would have my key but in fact reception remained open waiting for me to arrive.

Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport is 198 km away. The hotel had character and our room had a view of the river. The have a very reasonably priced package tour where you stay overnight in a cabin in the jungle after a full day of activities and canoeing down the river. We took it and the family loved it. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, but only a few blocks from the main plaza and the beach where all the monkeys play.
