There is only one restaurant which I expected to be mediocre because of the lack of competition. Oh how wrong I was. The accommodation is fairly basic, but had everything we needed. Loved the outside kitchen. The host, Monica, was very helpful and even arranged a dentist appointment for us when my wife broke a tooth. The great thing is the location, right on the edge of the national park and less than a 5 minute walk into Cahuita. We were lucky to see 15-20 howler monkeys in the garden as well as capuchin monkeys and an agouti. We actually saw more wildlife while chilling out at the property than we saw in the national park.

Just 50 metres from the beach, Hotel El Encanto is located in Cahuita and features a pool and a restaurant. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and private terraces. Absolutely wonderful. Room was clean and functional. Pool and facilities exceptional. Breakfast was included and very scrumptious. On site iguanas 🦎, sloths 🦥 and frogs.
