A wonderful place! ... Really "in the sky", all around only nature, no view of houses. Very good for birdwatching, toucans come by daily and hummingbirds are everywhere. There is an observation platform. You can see the volcano and Lake Arenal from everywhere on the property and the many armchairs grouped around the house. The people from the agency are very friendly and helpful. We missed some things in the kitchen and bedside lamps, everything was done immediately. You have to know that there are three units on the property. In addition to the large house with four bedrooms (which we rented), there is a (very) small unit in a kind of garden house for 2 people and another house with 2 bedrooms.

The team of staff at Mystica were warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed the sauna twice during our stay which is complimented by the natural dipping pool. We hope to return. The whole place was good vibes. We especially enjoyed the birdwatching and walking the meditation labyrinthe.

Essence Arenal is an ecological hotel surrounded by Tropical Forest that offers a wellness center to tourists, it is surrounded by gardens and beautiful views of Lake Arenal, the Arenal Volcano and... Everything. Literally everything. It's one of those places where you can't go wrong. The rooms are a perfect combination of modern facilities and nature. There's a daily yoga session (paid) with a view to the Arenal volcano and nothing but green and nature around. The place has 2 or 3 trails, connecting the reception to the rooms' area that allow you to see several types of animals (from monkeys to tocanos). There's not much "light pollution" around which is perfect to watch a starry night sky.

Great views, friendly staff, swimming pool, great location. Overall very pleasent experience. Addionally, special thanks to the owner of the place, who was kind enough to transport coffee (important souvenir) we left by accident, to our car rental's office.
