This property is an oasis just a stone throw away from downtown San Ignacio. I was so taken with all the trees and plants and I love that they have benches to simply sit and enjoy nature. The shower was phenomenal, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C was superb. I liked that there’s was a little coffee maker complete with filter paper, ground coffee and powdered creamer and I made good use of it in the early morning when I needed to work remotely. Speaking of—the WiFi was excellent and I had no issues with any of the conference calls I had during my stay. Lastly, I’m very impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. There was always someone around to ask for help or get a recommendation, without them being helicopter-y. If you need a nature retreat within easy reach of downtown (if you’re into walking) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! It’s especially perfect if you’re backpacking but want a nice, calm place to stay. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill and it’s a 5 minute walk.

Stunning place to stay, with good food and poolside cocktails and lots of activities around. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did a kayak tour into San Ignacio which was super chill and the guide was very informative. Got to see monkeys and toucans!

Amid the forests of the Blue Hole National Park, this property offers free Wi-Fi access, private parking and free bike rentals to sightsee the area. A tour desk is also available on site. Well this place is paradise, perfect in every way. The location is stunning particularly when looking at the mountains from your balcony first thing in the morning. The restaurant food was very good too at ok prices.

Set within the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, Blancaneaux Lodge by Francis Ford Coppola offers an outdoor pool, organic gardens and 2 restaurants. The staff knows what you need even before you need it! Absolutely fantastic. This was one of our best experiences with truly professional and attentive staff. Property is gorgeous and does not feel crowded evenn at full capacity. The perfect place if you are looking for a quiet hideaway in the jungle.

The staff was excellent. The chefs were amazing! Food was delicious and we ate every crumb! The bartender made the stay very welcoming and crafted up cocktails for us.

This family-run lodge offers a health spa, an eco-friendly swimming pool and unique accommodation with private verandas and jungle views. The staff were wonderful and the grounds were stunning. Our room was also beautiful. We loved the on-site activities including the stables, butterfly sanctuary and canoes.

Surrounded by tropical gardens, Maya Mountain Lodge & Tours offers an outdoor pool, and bright accommodation with free Wi-Fi and wonderful garden views. San Ignacio town is 2.5 km away. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, very clean and spacious apartment with little touches such as fresh flowers, beautiful gardens with wildlife, nice pool to relax in at the end of the day. We ate at the on site restaurant and enjoyed a good local meal.
