The location is perfect with walking distance to Melk Abbey, Convenient for us to attend Christmas pray at 12 pm on 24th December which was absolutely fantastic. The apartment is close to the market and the breakfast at the super cozy Cafe Teufner is highly recommended. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had Christmas sauna too. The apartment is also within short driving distance to Wachau wine yard and Vienna. We will come here again during the harvest season for sure!

Very nice and comfortable room. Great location. The outdoor heated pool with the beautiful view is the best. The service was great and the reasturant excellent. Perfect for a few days in the nature an hour from Vienna

Hotel Schachner is located in the town of Maria Taferl, close to the basilica. It offers views of the Alps and the Danube River. Where to start? Amazing location with beautiful views. We could just sit and enjoy the views. Tasty food, we had breakfasts and dinners and the food was just great, rich variations, tasty vegetables and fruits, fine wine.. Staff was helpful, whatever we needed, they tried to help. There were a lot of small things, like you don't need to clean your room, you get the present, but all the small things make it to wonderful experience. Swimming pool was next to the second building of the hotel, just some meters to walk, there was refreshment, table tennis, bedminton.. We will come again, definitely.

Very nice place. The quality of the spa was unexpectedly fabulous, and appreciated after cycling for several days. Comfortable room and beds. Our dinner was very good, eating outside on their patio. Good breakfast and well set up for cyclists.

This family-run 4-star hotel lies hidden between the vineyards of the Wachau, about 900 metres west of the historic town of Dürnstein. The hotel is located on the Danube shore, with a spectacular view over surrounding hills and Danube from upper rooms, close to city, yet in a very quiet location. The room is spacios and very clean, the restaurant is offering quality food , breakfast is very good. Parking place at the hotel ground level is a plus.
