Very warm welcome from the lovely family! We were surprised with a delicious dinner, her kottu and dahl curry are big recommendations! We even requested the dahl again for breakfast :) The room was great with a comfy bed, clean bathroom incl warm shower and a lovely view over the neighbourhood houses & gardens.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

The property was clean, with a beautiful view and a pool! Nice bathrooms and good beds! The staff was incredibly helpful to provide us information on our day trips to Ella and Haputale, especially a big thanks to Maheshi! In the evenings after the day trips, we spent time at the pool and ordered bites from the kitchen. Good Sri Lankan food. Thanks to Hashan for serving us and checking in on us during our stay! We had breakfast one day and dinner another day! Good mix of Sri Lankan and continental!

From the moment of check in to check out, I had a wonderful stay at orient hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the food was delicious. Special mention must be made to the GM Mr. Chandima who was always on the scene and attentive to our needs. We were also provided with a Trek to Ella Rock accompanied by hotel staff and a packed hotel lunch which was an incredible experience I would highly recommend. Overall was a great visit and will definitely be staying here again next time I visit.

Perfect location, great views, near railways, so you can see the trains passing by. In 7 minutes you can walk to Ella. The other way on the railway will bring you to the waterfall en Ella Rock. When you just passed the trainbridge, go down, and ask the women for guiding you to a beautiful viewpoint. On your own its difficult to find. Breakfast is good. The caretaker Lashman is gentle and tells a lot of things to visit/to do. From were you will have breakfast, the view uphill is lovely, looks like a jungle. We parked our tuktuk just across the railway.

Very beautiful location, very friendly staff. Food was excellent whether local or western. Close to other attractions in Ella area and downtown.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Ella, Ella waterfall view is a homestay surrounded by views of the mountain.

Shiley is incredibly kind, helpful, and respectful. She welcomed us very warmly. The cold towel and freshly squeezed fruit gesture was very nice. She asked about our plans every day and gave us information about places to visit. Our room was clean, tidy, and had all the amenities we could want. Breakfast was filling and delicious.

This was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The room was spacious, tidy and had a balcony overlooking nature, so we could see peacocks and squirrels. The breakfast was excellent, Sashi and his friend worked extremely hard. Every morning there was something new and different. Sashi is extremely helpful, he was able to arrange any activity... The facility is located in a wonderful location, in nature and greenery, near the trail for the Nine arch cares. The price is extremely favorable. Thank you for your hospitality and helpfulness, we would recommend Tea forrest lodge to anyone for a stay in Ella.
