The owner, Asanka, met us on the road and took us to the hotel. At that moment, there was a power cut in the area and Asanka did everything to make our evening wonderful - he lit candles so that there was light, prepared tea for us and treated us to a pie. He really wanted us to be comfortable, it's very nice! Soon the electricity returned. the rooms were clean, nice neat bed, clean bathroom, shower with hot water! Each room had bottled drinking water. In the morning you can see an amazing view from the balcony - you can see the mountains, the waterfall, on the other hand you can look at the train (they don't run at night, so we slept great). There were no mosquitoes and flies! We also had a wonderful breakfast in the morning! There was tea, milk, scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jam, and a wide variety of fruits. Thank you Asanka for your concern!

We had a wonderful stay at this brand new property. The family who runs it are incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was immaculately clean, and the location, though slightly outside the busy Ella town, was perfect for us – a tranquil jungle retreat just a 10-15 minute tuk-tuk ride away. Very clean. The bed sheets were super clean and comfortable. The room was really good considering the humidity around. The room and bathroom were very clean. The owner was super nice and friendly. He welcomed us with some tea and biscuits. He sent us places to visit without the intention of selling anything. The place is 15 minutes walking or you can get there by Tuk Tuk (around 400) or the owner can pick you up. He actually drove us to the next destination and we met with him in the city and he brought our backpacks. We felt safe, comfortable and the place is really quiet and calm. The views are spectacular. If you are looking for being close to Ella but at the same time some peace this is the place.
