The hotel is very beautiful. Even looks nicer than on the picture. The location is alright. Needs a bit of walk from the station but not too far. The staff and service are great as what you always expected in Japan.

Great and friendly staff, very nice rooms (although small), fantastic rooftop where you could enjoy a drink and foot bath after a long day of sightseeing, and of course a great location, close to shopping and many of the historical landmarks. Also, the bed was amazing.

The property and stay was delightful. The staff, facilities and amenities were enjoyable to experience. The area was always central, and lots of pockets to explore.

Situated very close and directly connected to Kyoto Station via a covered walkaway, the hotel ensures unbeatable convenience for exploring Kyoto and nearest cities- Shinkansen, subway, busses, the station complex with shops, restaurants, diners, are just a step away. However, regardless of this location, the rooms are extremely quiet and very comfortable, very clean and spacious. There is a small Zen garden in the terrace, which was a lovely detail to add in to the comfort of the room. The staff is very polite and helpful and we had seamless check-in and check-out. The breakfast is buffet and it is worth paying for-very diverse, providing both Japanese delicacies and top-tier Western options. The hotel is a combination of luxury and very convenient urban location.

The room was very spacious compared to all other hotels we stayed in Japan. Pillows were the most comfortable ones as well. I really loved the pajamas pants, super comfy! Breakfast was good although there wasn't much variety.
