Best location for Matera sightseeing. Close to any of historical place you have to see, to any of nice restaurants you have to try. It’s very romantic especially in the night. If you have a car(rental car) with you, by the way, Matera is also great location for visiting other Puglia cities such as Alberobello.

What a wonderful way to look back and understand the culture of the day (400 BC) in beautiful Matera. MOYΣEION recreates the experience with the design of the hotel, the people, food, pool, furniture, architecture, right down to the dinner plates, cups and cutlery. The staff are all trained in the fields they love - like archaeology and share the journey. They also demonstrate beautiful music using instruments of the day. It's incredible. On top of this, the chef does an amazing modern interpretation of food from 400BC. It is all very cool. It is totally worth going with the flow and fully embracing and immersing yourself in the experience. We did, and we were rewarded for it. Finally, the staff are exceptional. So kind and attentive. They make it perfect.

Cool, super important in Matera’s hot August weather. Comfortable, spacious, and the pool is obviously incredible. (The temperature can’t be changed, it’s like a lightly warm tub. Still refreshing)

Perfect hotel! In every aspects! Big and specious room, the design of the hotel is amazing. It was the best decision to choose this cave hotel in the city of caves. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with wide range of selection. Very helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Matera again. From the hotel everything was within a few minutes walking distance.

I can't imagine the more beautiful place to stay in Matera. Great experience, overwhelming views, everything nearby in short walking distance. Yes, you should park outside the old town, but its plenty of parking spots in moderate distance. Best recomendations!

Probably the best room during our entire trip in Italy. The host was very enthusiastic and kind, he introduced the history and geology of Matera to us. The reception is above a Palombaro lungo, which they keep it and tour it. The host gave us a map and a list that recommended to us where we can visit and enjoy the food, which is very useful. The room was large and comfortable, located in the middle of the Sassi, with convenient transportation to any place. You can store your luggage after you check out, really helpful. It is sad for us that we only stayed one night in Matera, I will definitely come here again and stay at Piano Piano room without a doubt. Please don't miss such a great  B&B.
