This is a relatively new property situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. We had a room with valley views and it was as close to nature as you can get. The property is fabulous and the staff are exceptional 10/10!! We opted for the full board option and we were thankful we did that as there are no restaurants or supermarkets / shops within walking distance of the hotel. The Jiva spa was my relaxation haven! The tours organised by the hotel were very informative and well organised. A truly five star experience.

Superb staff. Extremely helpful and always with an endearing smile. The GM Mr Sanjay Nangia, runs a very tight ship. The staff love and respect him. Where else in Darjeeling can you lie in bed and watch the sun play out its colours on Kanchenjunga and her six sisters.

Cherry brandy and blessing on arrival, everyone really friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Great location that doesn't get too much horn noise. Excellent ambience, colonial furniture, pictures, lounge areas. Good bar (thanks Prassad) at reasonable prices, good beer (Kingfisher). Good buffet breakfast with egg station included in the booking, great coffee! Dinner was not included in my booking but happy with ala carte and prices, although the buffet looked good. Had Indian food mostly and it was excellent, although not spicy enough for my taste. Snacks and beer during the day were good also. Room was nice and spacious, comfy bed and good hot water from the shower. Filtered and UV treated waster was a bonus.

Sterling Darjeeling is located 2316 metres above sea level, 1 km from Ghoom Railway Station. The property has free WiFi in the lobby and restaurant.
