The Westin is a luxurious hotel providing all the amenities expected of a good 5-star hotel. I am not sure why but maybe because it is off-season in Kolta, but I thought the Westin was excellent value for money. It is probably more expensive in peak season. My room was spacious with an excellent desk and chair. The room has a huge bathtub and the shower is uite spacious. The special Bengali New Year's buffet dinner at Seasonal Tastes on the 10th floor was absolutely superb. I have not had so many excellent and exquisite dishes for a long time. They had live music during the dinner and I was entertaining people I wanted to chat with. We were promptly relocated to another part of the music where is was quieter and one could chat more easily. The gym is well-equipped and the swimming pool is also quite enticing. A special shout-out to the exceptional and helpful staff especially Mr Pranab Banerjee, Jr Sous Chef, who goes out of his way to attend to residents during breakfast, as well as Rinky and Tamal at Seasonal Tasters. The breakfast spread is exceptional. The only other place where the breakfast spread exceeds that offered at The Westin is the ITC Royal Bengal (in my opinion). All in all, I will certainly consider the Westin the next time I am in Kolkata.

This is a really very well appointed hotel with relics everywhere as evidence of its long history. It sits right in an area that is bustling with typical Kolkata street life - a real marvel to sit and observe. The gym has top-rated equipment and the pool scene is relaxing. Definitely worth revisiting.

My recent stay in Kolkata at the Raajkutir a british-indian establishment was nothing short of magical. I arrived expecting a comfortable, well-located hotel, and what I received was an experience that truly captured the spirit of the city reflecting the old days. My room was upgraded in the Premium Suite which was spacious, impeccably clean and with a living room .The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail, and the amenities were premium selected. What truly set the property apart, however, was the exceptional service and the warmth of the people. Upon departure they gave us a memento from your trip which was unexpected and incredibly thoughtful gesture that made me feel truly valued as a guest celebrating a special occasion. The Raajkutir hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of its beautiful ambiance, excellent service, and thoughtful surprise made my stay in Kolkata unforgettable.
