I had an exceptional stay at J Hotel Shanghai. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly professional—making me feel truly welcomed. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant design and world-class amenities that reflect its luxurious reputation. My room was nothing short of spectacular: spacious, immaculately clean, and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline from one of the highest vantage points in the world. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. Every detail—from the service to the setting—was flawless. I highly recommend J Hotel to anyone seeking a refined and memorable experience in Shanghai.

This hotel has excellent service - consistent and genuine dedication to their guests. Congratulations. You leave this place with new friends. Joy an awesome manager, Warren, Leo at reception, my favourites Sarah and Jake, and Lily and Mark the room concierges. Truly amazing people. I felt good here. The location is brilliant, one street from everywhere. Good to see Thomas the General Manager walking the floor. All so impressive. Other hotels should come here to learn.

Great spa area, sauna and steam room -- that are all very relaxing, as most people staying in this hotel are here for business, and literally never use the facilities. :) Come to relax in the aftrenoon, it feels like a Japanese Onsen. :)

The hotel staff were very professional, kind, welcoming, and always eager to help answering to any request. Room was pretty spacious, very clean, well equipped and with a fantastic view over the Lujiazui financial center. The outdoor swimming pool with the view was amazing with the perfect weather during our stay. Massage was very good as well. Breakfast is amazing.

Two nights at the peninsula was the perfect end to our trip in China and really made our experience in Shanghai extra special. From the spacious room (with a dressing room and river view!), to the stunning facilities (particularly loved the pool, sauna and steam room!) everything is so well thought through. Breakfast was ample and delicious! All of the staff are so lovely and the concierge team are also excellent and booked our dinners in for us which was much appreciated. Highly recommend staying here!

Have stayed here before. Knew it was a great hotel and so returned. Perfect location in the centre 5 mins walk from The Bund. Great, professional and warm staff. Clean, well appointed rooms, comfortable beds and good aircon. Very good breakfast too. Very relaxed, grand hotel - was amazing to come back to after a days sightseeing. Amazing spa on the 4th floor too ‘Secret Garden’ . I will return to this hotel.

The location and the breakfast are perfect. A big choice of Chinese, Japanese, and European food may satisfy any foreign and Chinese visitors. A sauna and a swimming pool are good advantages for the relaxation.
