Wonderful hotel at an exceptional location directly at the lake shore, and while on the outskirts of Lucerne with a frequent bus connection that takes one to the center in about 10 minutes, with the bus stop right outside the hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet, large rooms with view onto the lake.

This was the best 5-star hotel we stayed in and not because of amenities but overall thought that the hotel team had put in the customer experience. Eric at front desk made us so very welcome, I think he is a trainee but did a fabulous job of checking us in. I would say one of the best exp we ever had. Multiple times (including post checkout), we were provided chocolates, muffins and water - all complimentary. They let us extend our checkout without any hassle, in fact kept our luggage post checkout when we had to pick up the car rental. It does not take money to give experiences to the customers, that is what I learnt from this team.

THe Waldhotel in the resort is an amazing place. Astonishing views and incredible room size. The breakfast was something unique, and you have the opportunity to eat with a unique view of the mountains. I went with my spouse and we get engage there, the experience was amazing because they prepared everything for us, and they were really nice and they were in top of us every step of the preparation.

I’m used to traveling the world and staying in 5-star hotels, but I have to say — the level of service here was on a whole different level. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Everything was flawless, and the attention to detail was simply mind-blowing. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a Corner Suite with a stunning lake view for our honeymoon, which was such a lovely surprise! After staying in Grindelwald which is full of “pictures hunting” loud tourist groups a stay in this hotel was like a paradise. No one with selfie sticks, no loud people taking a pictures everywhere including wellness area. The hotel is clean, quiet, close to the railway station. We had a sea view double room with a balcony and it was a perfect choice - the view was amazing and siting at a balcony and watching a lake was a perfect relax. Nice swimming pool with warm water, clean saunas and comfortable sunbeds by the lake, where is possible to swim. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice, especialy Swiss cheese were amazing. Hotel has a restaurant which isn’t the best restaurant we have ever visited but It´s normal good restaurant with prices similar to the other places in Switzerland, the Coop market is on the other site of the road, just cross the street, train station less than 10 minutes walk
