You can play table tennis at this 4-star hotel, and the area is popular for hiking and skiing. This hotel exceeded our expectations. It looks fantastic, the food is unbelievably good, the spa is wonderful and the staff did everything to make us feel welcomed. It is only 15 min drive from ski slopes that we enjoyed every day.

The property also offers free parking. Everything was new and clean. We had a nice looking room with ceiling windows at the new building. There was no teapot in the room, but you can always get some boiling water in the kitchen downstairs. There are also tables there, so we could eat and drink tea in the evening. They have billiards table and boarding games so people hang out there sometimes. The rooms were quiet and we had a good sleep there. Breakfast was simple, but tasty and there were always some options to eat, even for vegetarians (but for meat lovers options were better:). Usually they serve eggs (boiled or scrambled), sometimes sausages, spreads, bread, cheese and ham, butter, jams, corn flakes and milk, fresh vegetables and fruits. Coffee, tea and juice (artificial) to drink.

Ski equipment hire is offered 100 metres away and the train station is set 200 metres away. Cannot say anything negative, the apartman was clean, comfortable, well-equiped. The food was great at the Hotel's Restaurant. I hope we can go back once!

The staff is polite and kind. The gentleman with the magnificent mustache was extra helpful with our food intolerance, so thank you again!

Horský Hotel Popradské Pleso is a good starting point to go hiking and take part in guided alpine hikes to Gerlach or Vysoka, as well as join mountain climbing tours in the High Tatras. Everything! Can't really put into the words how beautiful the location is... but the hotel is perfect. The staff are lovely and willing to help you, advice you etc at all times. The food in the restaurant is very good and portions are perfect to refuel after (or before) hiking. The facilities are great! Just what you need. Couldn't recommend more :)

The hotel's ski bus departs from the hotel garage -2 at pre-scheduled times upon reservation. It provides good connections to the Park Snow Štrbské Pleso ski resort, located 900 meters away. This service is available during the winter season and can be used free of charge. Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec. It offers a self-catered accommodation with free WiFi in public areas and rooms. Very spacious apartment, clean and in a good location

Horsky Hotel Sliezsky Dom is located in the heart of Tatra Mountains, 1670 metres above the sea level. It offers elegant rooms with mountain views, a flat-screen TV and a minibar. Limited WiFi is available for free and a high-speed internet connection is provided for a surcharge. A magical stay surrounded by mountains, forests, a lake and a stream. We enjoyed the view from the window and the spa in every weather. At least 4 different nature trails start from the hotel door and they're all nice. Instead of googling "Tatras best hikes", just start walking in any direction from Velické Pleso and you won't regret it. Generous buffet at breakfast and dinner and delicious food and drinks for lunch. If you read negative reviews about the "tourist restaurant", note that that's the backpackers hut. The hotel restaurant is only available to hotel guests and the lunch options are delicious. We were told you can also ask for packed lunch for the hike, but it wasn't possible because we hadn't ordered it in advance. A free-of-charge spacious private spa by reservation with saunas and a beautiful view. You can send your luggage from their lower parking lot at the Tatranská Polianka railway station by their van and hike to the hotel. You can even leave it in a storage unit for them to pick up, you just need to coordinate in advance.
