The 3-bedroom cottages at Langahlid Cottages all have an open-plan room with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The living room features a flat-screen TV and DVD player. This place was incredible. Everything from the jaw dropping views to the small details, like robes in each room, was over the top. You can tell the owners have put their love into what they do. Best place we’ve stayed in Iceland.

Guests at Botnahlid Villa, Mountain and Town views and outdoor Sauna can enjoy skiing and hiking nearby, or make the most of the sun terrace. Wonderful all around i would give 100 out of 10. You will find everything you need and the owner was extremely nice supportive and friendly. We got stuck in storm where we couldn’t go out anywhere that day. He invited us to some hot and cold spa nearby. He treated us like a family. One of the things we will never forget and wish we can thank you enough.

As well as the affordable price during low season (we were the only ones in the hostel). The hostel was clean, functional and the staff friendly.

Seydisfjordur Public Swimming Pool is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Stafdal Valley Ski Centre is 9 km away. The upgraded us as there weren't many tourists during the off season. We were even warned that there a no open restaurants beforehand so we could prepare. Our Keycode allowed us to enter a seperate vuilding with a small little honesty bar and snacks. All in all a lovely old hotel with really nice rooms and extremely pleasent hosts - would love to come back during the summer.
