Exceptional location just next to the Ramsau river and mountains. From the balcony you get to see amazing view of the mountains and nearby beautiful Bavarian style houses. It was warm and cozy inside the room. Nice that we had an exit to the balcony. The local tourist information centre was just in front of the hotel (over the river). Also, we noticed that many hiking trails that lead up to the mountains start very near this hotel. We will definitely come back in spring or summer to enjoy hiking and staying in Bergbach hotel. Moreover a pleasant surprise was the property host who spoke Latvian. He also spoke German, English and Russian. There was an option to get sauna and if we weren’t travelling with kid, would totally recommend trying because of the views you get to see from the sauna. Breakfast offered a wide variety of traditional German/Bavarian breakfast - sausages, two types of omelettes, bread, cheese, various types of meat. Also some sweets and cornflakes. Many juices and drinks (coffee,tea) to choose from. By the way, tea and coffee was for free also outside the breakfast hours.

Super nice and spotless clean rooms . The owners are hands-on and super super friendly . The location is just fantastic. The view is breathtaking . The wife cooks the food , man, best meal we had during our stay in Gemany . Highly recommendable, we are definitely gonna go back .

Wow! the scenery here is spectacular. I hope to add photos to the review at a later date. The farm stands in acres of land with mountains all around and amazing views of the snowcapped Hochkalter and Watzman mountains. There are fabulous walks in the area. We did a walk through the Marchenpfad forests with lovely wood carvings all the way through and the most amazing views all around. This is alpine scenery at its best. This was a great base, away from it all, for Berchestgaden and Konigsee Lake. This is a very beautiful area. I imagine it can get very busy in Summer. Our hosts were very welcoming, our room was warm, cosy and ultra clean with a mini kitchen with fridge. They also sell a range of beautiful, local produce of all sorts which are displayed very nicely in the reception area. There is an honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks and you just write them on a slip of paper. The owners also put a lot of effort into their floral decorations and outside ambience with lounging chairs and blankets. With lambs playing right outside. We had a fabulous stay, thank you!

Of the four places we stayed over our two week holiday this was the best place. It had everything: kitchen, lounge, bedroom with space around both sides of the bed, comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom and a veranda with good views. Downstairs we had good breakfasts each day. So all good. Bonus was a genuine manager who knew the local area.
