The room was so clean and comfortable. I only stayed one night but I absolutely loved it. Staff were fantastic and super friendly.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little out of town but this also means it is very peaceful. You can walk down to the town via a delightful path through the forest. The path is well marked and easy to follow. The local bus service stops near the hotel too. The breakfast room has very nice views across the valley and the hotel restaurant serves very nice meals.

This is the best place I have stayed, truly excellent. The family were excellent hosts, friendly and everything you needed but not overbearing, like a top Michelin star restaurant. Excellent stay for me my wife and two teenagers. Have absolutely nothing to complain about. Really friendly staff. Excellent room. Fantastic view. A pool indoors,, sauna, steam sauna and more. Ate dinner and had a really great experiance despite our late booking. Highly recommended. We will come back for sure and probably stay for several days more next time. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
