Sheraton Hotels in Astoria

The hotel is located in Hells Kitchen which is a very safe and central area with many restaurants, cafes and grocery stores close to the hotel. The nearest subway station is 34 St-Penn Station and 34 St-Herald Sq which are a 10 minute walk away. The room we stayed in was a decent size for a New York hotel room. The bathroom was very large and the rest of the room was a normal size. The bathroom could have been a little smaller and the room a little bigger. The room was very clean since they cleaned it every day and left us 2 bottles of water. The view from the room was spectacular overlooking 10th Avenue and the skyscrapers of Midtown Manhattan. On the positive side of the hotel is that the opposite building is three-storey, like the ones next to it, with the result that most floors of the hotel have this amazing view. The common areas were also very clean and we loved that there was always free coffee and tea on the ground floor. There were 2 large and spacious elevators. The staff were very kind and smiling. They helped me look for a letter when I arrived at the hotel and kept our bags after check out for a last walk around Manhattan.

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and it was amazing! First night wasnt as good, i came to checkin on late night. Staff wasnt very friendly, but also not unfriendly, just like neutral. Booking went without problem.  I booked this hotel for amazing view with booking.com on club floor. I got what i ordered, but view was bad. There was tall building that blocked my view. Room was pretty noisy. But next morning, I Kindly asked if its possible to get better view. It was possible so I was asked to leave my room by 12 PM and keep my luggage on lobby, let in 2-3 hours. I left room, kept stuff there and went out. When I returned, i was waiting only for like 10 minutes for my room. She gave me card and when I saw it, it was absolutely amazing! It was so big upgrade! I got maybe one of the best views, on the 19th floor and also bathtub instead of shower. This room is also less noisy because there are no high buildings around so noise "spread" more. It was amazing room, thanks! This hotel was pretty expensive for me, i am from pretty poor country so I really wanted to enjoy it to the maximum. Lounge was good, cold beverages for whole day were good when it was so hot outside. Rooftop is amazing and views are breathtaking. I dont know who was on that shift, I forgot name, but this kind woman should get something for her amazing behaviour! Morning shift (+- to 4 PM) on the 2nd of July. Thank you very much! Security guy on lobby is also very kind and always smile! Cleaner was also kind and precious. Cleaning is every day. I love it! Everything worked in my both old and new room. Checkout was fast I will come back if I visit NY again. I Wonder if people who say view was bad tried to ask for new room. I did it and got everything I wanted!

Great location. Cool atmosphère. Good value for money . Always felt sage . Room was big enough, check in and out very easy . The free coffee the morning was a plus .

Close to ferry and spacious with beautiful view on Manhattan. Comfortable bed. We liked it!

The lady that checked me in was lovely (Wed 27th Nov, late afternoon), the cleaners on level 8 were amazing! Very friendly and made my stay so comfortable, room was huge and had everything I needed. The male staff at the front desk were also very helpful, I received excellent hospitality! Location was great, there’s a shopping centre right across the road with food options that open till very late as well as subway entrances/exits right around the corners which made me as a solo traveller feel very safe when coming back to the room late at night after a long day of exploring the city.
