The hut had a nice homey feel, the electric fireplace did an excellent job at keeping us warm! The bed was incredibly comfortable. We liked the book about the owners family- nice touch.

Everything was beyond our expectations! It was beyond a motel. The room was big and clean. They provided everything we need for the stay. The heater worked very well both in the living room and bathroom. Also nice amenities with good quality shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. They even have slippers for us. The kitchen was full with needed equipment and even Nespesso Machine. The room we stayed had spectacular mountain view with green grass and table just in front. The staffs were friendly and willing to give us recommendations. Plus, we could just walk from the motel to a nice restaurant next door.

The dog! I arrived very late, and it was too dark to find my room, so I asked the dog, which sounds a bit crazy but believe it or not, she guided me right to it. It was amazing!! Everything are good, nice and clean!! Highly recommended!!

Bella Vista Motel Fox Glacier is easy to find, situated right in the heart of the Fox Glacier Village. Only a few minutes’ walk from shops, cafés and restaurants.

The motel is on the main road, but quiet, and close to everything. The apartment was super clean and the bathroom was spacious. The whole area is beautiful, rainforest, and there are glowworms in the forest just behind the accomodation. The owner lady was very kind, she recommended us some nearby sights accessible by foot, as we had no car. There was a supermarket in town and you could get to Franz Joseph, Fox Glacier and lake Matheson. One of our favourite spots during our travels in New Zealand.

It was perfect for our needs- we booked it for two couples for a night after doing the welcome flats hut walk- in the rain. There was a large covered car port which was perfect to sort all of our gear and easy access laundry facilities. Excellent shower. The lady at reception was very welcoming.
