The homestay was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice hot shower. The brothers who run the homestay are very friendly and helpful. Also, you should try the Kerala breakfast, it was delicious and the portion was extremely generous. The property is located on a quiet canal on the edge of the city, which is a great location as it is peaceful and only a stone's throw away from the backwaters! Overall, an amazing place to stay whilst in Alleppey.

We are a couple and went to Alappuzha/Alleppey and asked our host for a boattrip. Fortunately we found Jose Kalappura, he organized a convenient tailormade experience on two private traditional boats with modern facilities. We were lucky, because beforhand we didn't know the difference between cheaper tours on big boats vs. smaller boats with individual trip and different private experience. We startet with a tour on a small boat and went through smaller channels having local Breakfast, bigger boats can't pass there. Ad 12:00 we skipped on a different boat with private panoramic area on the first floor. We where alone, a really romantic trip. Having typical local fresh Lunch cooked on board by a chef, we stopped on the course for sightseeing. After a slow trip on a quite channel we could see a beautyful sunset and we had Dinner. We had a good Night in a full equipped clean room as we would expect in a city hotel. Our Captain found a good spot away from the busy areas where we enjoyed a beautyful sunrise. After a local Breakfast we left the boat with a big smile because of this outstanding experience. Thanks again to Jose and the Crew.

This place was a very nice experience for us. The room was very cute and clean, the family and staff were really helpful. They organize a boat trip for us , and was super good. They also prepare food for us, We had a real Keralan gastronomy experience. We were looking for vegan food, something really hard around this area, and they prepare for us a delicious meal, tasty, original and healthy. I highly recommend this place. Thank you!

Mirash (John’s son) and his family are the most welcoming, kindest, and most honest people I’ve encountered since arriving in India. I am so glad that I stayed at Marari John’s Home stay. Bobby was a very kind and attentive host, even picking me up from the train station and making sure I also departed safely. He genuinely wants you to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay in Alleppey. He helped me organise a boat ride Andy onward travel arrangements. The room is huge - more like an apartment! The air con as a welcome relief from the heat this time of year. Location was perfect - I could walk everywhere I needed and it was very safe.

The property itself is absolutely stunning. Rooms were beautiful and spacious, and clean throughout. The garden, outdoor seating area and pool make this a perfect stay for groups or families. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, special shout out to Mr Ebie! The breakfast was varied and delicious. We would 100% recommend this villa and will hopefully return one day.
