Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

We enjoyed the open air bath in the room and the private onsen. The meals were fantastic especially the dinners.

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. The owners/staff are extremely kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to check in early and even let me use the onsen in the afternoon after checkout.

The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Beautiful property. The room was spacious! Even for Western standards. The private onsen was very nice. We did not try the public onsen. The staff were courteous and helpful. Although the staff had limited English proficiency, they all used a translation app to help with communication which was incredibly helpful.

Both Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding or Western-style rooms with beds are available. Each room comes with a flat-screen satellite TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests. I booked this hotel without much expectation, mainly for the convenience of traveling to Ginzan Onsen. But once I checked in, I felt a bit regretful that I didn’t have more time to stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are lovely, and they even upgraded my room. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The public onsen was beautiful, clean, and very inviting, and there was even a private onsen in the room. The hotel is beautifully decorated with plenty of photo spots throughout.

Delicious food, and the owners were very welcoming and spoke English well. Would come back anytime.

The wooden structure of the property portrays a traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Free Wi-Fi is available at the lobby. Excellent property. Comfortable stay, attentive and patient staff who anticipated and attended to our every need and request. Food was excellent and they accommodated my dietary restrictions and remembered them throughout my stay. Wonderful stay, highly recommend.

Each accommodation at the 3-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath and a public bath. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The breakfast spread was good and we enjoyed our 4 mornings of good breakfast. It is Japanese style mixed with some western, there are juices, tea, coffee and desserts. The staff serving breakfast was very polite and neat. What we like best is the private room Japanese dinner which we enjoyed for the 3 nights. Very exclusive and different night, different menu. On our last night our dinner was changed from 2nd floor to the 10 floor which allow us to see the night scene of this little town. I highly recommend this for family or honey moon couple. We booked 3 rooms and requested for our rooms to be next to one another and the hotel helped us with this request. The Onsen in this Ryoken was clean and comfortable both indoor and outdoor. Walking from Tendo station to here is about 15 mins. The room is super comfortable, clean, shower and WC separated, well furnished in Japanese style. If I have a chance, will return.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Perfect service, absolutely clean, delicious food. Beautiful architecture

At the ryokan, each unit is fitted with a tatami. A fridge and kettle are also provided. At the ryokan, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels.

Sakuranbo Higashine Station is 44 km from the ryokan, while Murayama Station is 47 km away. Yamagata Airport is 42 km from the property. The atmosphere was superb, very helpful and kind staff! The food was also brilliant, I also used their sauna room which was very nice too and very reasonably priced. Overall, wonderful for the price. The view from the room of the lake was unbelievable as well.
