The location is perfect, close to the station. The hosts were so kind and attentive, we miss them already. We will definitely be back. Also airconditioning in summer was a real plus. We got to experience a shamisen performance and our host made us try natto which was very questionable but a very fun experience.

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu is situated a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station, near Nakamise-dori Street and Senso-ji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station provides direct access to Ueno, Shibuya and Ginza areas, and also to the Narita and Haneda international airports. We were pleasantly surprised of the hotel. The room was spacious, bathroom was great. It was a fun experience to sleep in a traditional Japanese style room. Location was great and staff was super friendly and accommodating. We loved everything during our stay.

The ryokan has family rooms. It was super lovely! The facility is good. The house is cute and clean. Everything was new and stylish! The bed was sooo comfortable as well! Highly recommend for a group of 6 people for a comfy stay. I would definitely return here again

My kids loved the bunk beds that are built into a cupboard in the wall - it was an adventure for them to sleep there! The fridge was stocked with authentic Japanese drinks and snacks which we enjoyed trying out. Everything was incredibly clean and well organised and the host was very attentive and welcoming. The location is also really good - just 10 minutes walk across the river to the Akasuka neighbourhood.
