WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

Separate little houses/apartments set in a Japanese garden, private onsen bath, the room was large and so comfortable. The dinner was so good, and they could accommodate me on the spot when they served a soup i couldn’t eat. The staff were absolutely amazing! And we booked the ikebana introduction, which was a great experience!

There were so many things to enjoy: the onsen, yoga room, and even a calligraphy room! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive — Takumi and Hosaka especially made me feel so welcomed and cared for. The location is also amazing. The hotel offers bikes, and I took one out to explore the area — I got to see Mount Fuji and the most breathtaking sunset. It was such a special moment! And the free bar was such a fun surprise! I left feeling relaxed and happy, and I’d definitely love to come back again.

The property is located 26 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple and 48 km from Mount Daruma. Lake Ashi is 28 km away and Hakone Open-Air Museum is 34 km from the ryokan. Grandmother of this hotel was soooo nice, although there was language barrier, she made us comfortable and happy every day. She always gives us snacks and other omiyages, and satisfied all your needs. Will come back this summer.

Ideally located in the Izu Nagaoka Onsen district, this ryokan provides a terrace, as well as a hot tub. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, food was so unique and delicious. The whole thing was an experience. Also recommend the private bath in room
