The Japanese-style rooms at Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen are air-conditioned and come with traditional tatami-mat flooring. Most rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Matsukawa River. It’s a old house with clean and comfortable facility. Our room has a balcony where we could oversee the river view. There is a kitchen with all tool and cutlery you need. For people who stay over two nights will have a Landry voucher for free. The public space is Japanese style and you could enjoy the river view. Staff are kind and super helpful. Highly recommended!

WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

The dinner was so good, and they could accommodate me on the spot when they served a soup i couldn’t eat. The staff were absolutely amazing! And we booked the ikebana introduction, which was a great experience!

The property is located 26 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple and 48 km from Mount Daruma. Lake Ashi is 28 km away and Hakone Open-Air Museum is 34 km from the ryokan. What a nice stay. The innkeeper was very friendly with me, and happy to help me store my luggage ahead of check-in time. She even offered me advice on my transportation out of Atami. The room itself was exactly what I needed; while it was small, it was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I liked it a lot! Staying in Japan, I was shocked to find such a nice hotel at such an affordable price, in a city no less. In America, I doubt you could find a comparable hotel for the same price. In other words, I highly recommend it!

The breakfast and dinner was amazing, staff was really helpful and kind. Just that location abit far without a car
