Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. This place is a real gem for relaxation. Our room had a great view to the Biwa lake, comfy beds, and an open air bath. Our first dinner was a 10+ plate Kaiseki menu, and as our second dinner we chose crab shabu shabu, which was excellent as well. Tried public onsens (indoor and outdoor pools), private onsen, and massage. Wore Yukatas the whole time :) All public and private areas were exceptionally spacious. The staff were very welcoming. There was a shuttle to/from the nearest train station.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Dinner was amazing and the staff and service was so attentive. Anzono our waiter for our dinner service went above and beyond. When one of us had to leave dinner before dessert to make their massage appointment, he offered and prepared a plate of the full dessert on a tray to be taken to the room for enjoyment afterwards.

Yumotokan har en attraktiv plassering i Ogoto Onsen i Otsu, 16 kilometer fra Enryaku-ji-tempelet, 17 kilometer fra Hiei-fjellet og 19 kilometer fra Shōren-in-tempelet. The 11F Onsen is the best!! The view is extraordinary, also the water's heat is very fine. The full set dinner also gives lots of Japanese taste I was looking for. There's also transportation provided by Yumotokan for arriving and departing customers to the nearest station.

Boasting a hot spring bath, Dantokan Kikunoya is located a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. Free pick-up from the station is available upon advance request. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

I Otsu, 23 kilometer fra Sanzen-in (tempel), ligger The Gran Resort Oumi Maiko, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en bar. Right across from the beach. Had a great Onsen. Good Japanese style breakfast.

I Hikone, bare 2,7 kilometer fra Hikone slott og 6 kilometer fra Maibara stasjon ligger KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone. Amazing food, pleasant staff and great onsen. Frequent shuttles to and from train station was a plus.

I Hikone, under 1 kilometer fra Hikone slott, ligger Honmachi Juku, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. Very cosy and welcoming. The area is very nice with the temple just beside it and a small garden. The ryokan is beautiful. The owners are very friendly people.
