Biwako Hanakaido beschikt over warmwaterbronnen binnen en buiten, 3 eetgelegenheden en kamers met een balkon en uitzicht op het meer van Biwako. Incredible introduction and service. (Alexa was wonderful) being picked up from the station and dropped off, room was exceptional, felt like royalty. Private dinner was wonderful, this hotel made for great memories.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Dinner was amazing and the staff and service was so attentive. Anzono our waiter for our dinner service went above and beyond. When one of us had to leave dinner before dessert to make their massage appointment, he offered and prepared a plate of the full dessert on a tray to be taken to the room for enjoyment afterwards.

Yumotokan is aantrekkelijk gelegen in de wijk Ogoto Onsen in Otsu, en bevindt zich op 16 km van Enryaku-ji-tempel, 17 km van Hiei-berg en 19 km van Shorenin-tempel. The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Ryokan Beniayu bevindt zich in Nagahama, op 26 km van kasteel van Hikone, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. The staff was extremely kind and caring. There is a shuttle to and from the train station which is practical. The view was beautiful and it was very peaceful.

長浜城下 町屋ホテル 和乃リトリートひといき bevindt zich in Nagahama, op 14 km van kasteel van Hikone, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een terras en een bar. This was one of the best and aesthetically pleasing stays in my life up to this point. The tastefulness of the room aswell as the whole hotel was truly amazing. The minute I stepped in I knew I had to write something here. The staff also was immensly polite and friendly.

KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone ligt in Hikone, op 2,7 km van kasteel van Hikone en 6 km van treinstation Maibara, en biedt accommodatie met een restaurant, gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en gratis... The staff was helpful and I felt it was good value for money.

Honmachi Juku ligt in Hikone, op minder dan 1 km van kasteel van Hikone, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. Very cosy and welcoming. The area is very nice with the temple just beside it and a small garden. The ryokan is beautiful. The owners are very friendly people.

Kiyotaki Ryokan is gelegen in Hikone, in de regio Shiga, op 8 km van heiligdom Taga-taisha. I absolutely loved my stay at Hikone and Kiyotaki ryokan. The room I stayed in was spacious and smelled of tatami, the bath was newly and renovated and comfortable, there was a small table in room along with a kettle and a teapot set perfect for a cup of tea in the morning. This was both one of my favorite stays in Japan so far as well as one of the cheaper ones. The owner of this ryokan is super friendly well. He gave me tips on what to see as well as a map of local cafes and restaurants and other tourist attractions which he himself helped make. Overall the stay was super friendly and I hope to come back in the future and even book the dinner this time.
