Incredible introduction and service. (Alexa was wonderful) being picked up from the station and dropped off, room was exceptional, felt like royalty. Private dinner was wonderful, this hotel made for great memories.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The view of the garden with two sakura trees, the terrace, the foot bath, the spacious and comfortable private bathroom, the room’s design, the incredibly delicious meals and the fact that there was a private dining room, the magnificent breakfast, the kind and cheerful staff, the cosmetic products in the room, the free minibar and its amazing variety… In short, everything was perfect. Thank you so much for the thoughtful touches and this unforgettable experience.

Yumotokan har en god beliggenhed i Ogoto Onsen-distriktet i Otsu. Det ligger 16 km fra Enryakuji-templet, 17 km fra Mount Hiei og 19 km fra Shoren-in-templet. The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

Dantokan Kikunoya ligger 5 minutters kørsel fra JR Ogoto Onsen Station og har varme kilder. Der tilbydes gratis afhentning fra stationen efter forudgående anmodning. The staff here are incredible. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our honeymoon. I was so grateful for how hard they all worked and how kind they all were. We also got the breakfast service in our room, which was excellent, and they provided several drinks in the fridge for us for free. They shuttled us from the station and back to it, and we were even sent off by the staff at the end of our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Also, our deluxe suite had the private open air bath, and I can't recommend that enough. It was so relaxing and incredible. Lastly, I personally loved the toiletries and additional things that came with the room (shampoo, straightener, beverages, yukata, pajamas, etc.)

Ryokan Beniayu ligger i Nagahama, 26 km fra Hikone Slot, og har gratis cykler, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. The staff was extremely kind and caring. There is a shuttle to and from the train station which is practical. The view was beautiful and it was very peaceful.

長浜城下 町屋ホテル 和乃リトリートひといき ligger i Nagahama, 14 km fra Hikone Slot, og har en have, en terrasse og en bar samt gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Værten var sød og rar - han tog godt imod os og anbefalede et sted at se solnedgangen fra og hvor man fik god ramen Stedet var rent og pænt og stort. Der var både en velkomstsnack og velkomstsdrikkevarer. Der var også privat sauna man kunne benytte ved at “reservere et bestemt tidspunkt” på en Whiteboard tavle Vi kommer gladeligt igen

KAMENOI HOTEL Hikone ligger i Hikone, 2,7 km fra Hikone Slot og 6 km fra Maibara Station. Her er en restaurant og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. The staff was helpful and I felt it was good value for money.

Honmachi Juku ligger i Hikone, mindre end 1 km fra Hikone Slot, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet er røgfrit og ligger 7,2 km fra Maibara Station. The staff went above & beyond to accommodate me. Can't rate this 180 year old property, that's been preserved & meticulously revamped into a delightful stay. 😀

Kiyotaki Ryokan ligger i Shiga i Hikone, 8 km fra Taga-taisha Shrine. Denne ryokan har 2 stjerner. Her er en have, aircondition og gratis wi-fi. Alle værelser har et fælles badeværelse. I absolutely loved my stay at Hikone and Kiyotaki ryokan. The room I stayed in was spacious and smelled of tatami, the bath was newly and renovated and comfortable, there was a small table in room along with a kettle and a teapot set perfect for a cup of tea in the morning. This was both one of my favorite stays in Japan so far as well as one of the cheaper ones. The owner of this ryokan is super friendly well. He gave me tips on what to see as well as a map of local cafes and restaurants and other tourist attractions which he himself helped make. Overall the stay was super friendly and I hope to come back in the future and even book the dinner this time.
