We’re worried about the shuttle bus which available until 18.00. But the hotel gave us special service shuttle bus for the new year eve night to go to the jinja from 11.30-2.00. Thank you very much. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. This really is the quintessential Japanese Ryokan experience. You get a yukata when you arrive and you're free to walk around the hotel or even outside with it. I highly recommend bathing in the hot springs; I hiked to the top of Mount Misen in the day, and relaxing the sore muscles in the hot spring in the evening really was divine! Dinner was amazing; absolutely delicious and you could tell how much passion they put into creating it.

Guests at the ryokan can enjoy an Asian breakfast. A bar can be found on-site. The dinner was incredible! They brought it to our room and had an English menu to explain what the different food items were. The onsen was also very nice and we also enjoyed having drinks in the rooftop bar area! I would definitely stay here again!

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away.

The spacious ryokan is equipped with 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a bidet, slippers and a washing machine. The ryokan offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. A stunning traditional house with very helpful and friendly host.

Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. Japanese-style hotel Mizuhasou specialises in fresh seafood and exquisitely prepared local seasonal dishes. Meals are served at the dining room. Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Rooms in the Annex include a private bathroom with a bath and toilet, while rooms in the historical Main Building and Cottage Annex have shared bathrooms and toilets. Everything Staffs / facilities / locations everything was great and better than my expectation. My second time to Miyajima and next time I will stay at Iwaso also

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Yamaichi Bekkan is set in Miyajima, 2.3 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and 700 metres from Five Storey Pagoda. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. Everything was exceptional, but the owner's kindness took a special spot. There's not a single thing I would change. I just wish I could repay them for the wonderful night we spent in Miyajima.

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. This room was amazing!! We were upgraded upon arrival, the room was gorgeous, big, with a Tatami area, a wooden bath and very very stylish. Highlight for me was the view of itsukushima shrine from the room! The onsen in the roof was wonderful! The staff were so kind and friendly, seemed genuinely curious about us. If you come to Miyagima stay here! You won't regret it!
