Room was very clean, the onsen was really good, breakfast was excellent and the staff was really nice and friendly. The property is very easily accessible and have convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It’s a really great place to stay.

The staff were incredibly accommodating, their care and attention made our visit relaxed and joyful, the Kaiseki was excellent and well balanced, showcasing local delicacies and providing an excellent view into tradition. Being able to use the Onsen with a tattoo and not having to cover it up was a pleasant surprise, the Onsen was excellent and very clean (I only used the outside pool). We were picked up by their free shuttle bus at the Shinkansen station and dropped off as well. We have to thank all of the staff, but a special mention should be given to Meguro, who took great care of us.

The air-conditioned rooms feature a TV, a fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags. Most rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding, while some rooms come with a private open-air bath. The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer. I can not say enough about this hotel. First off, location location location. The views of matsushima bay and the little islands were breath taking. Now add the ability to soak in an onsen and enjoy those views? Phenomenal. The staff were next level and beyond attentive. From the welcome tea to the seven course dinner and amazing breakfast I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Beautiful property. Wonderful staff. All very helpful and friendly. The public baths were wonderful. Outside baths were 2 different scenarios, one was gorgeous with five separate river rock soaking areas overlooking the river and forest, the other was 1 wooden tub in a small pavilion. Women have the beautiful spot afternoon/evening and swap with the men in the morning. Our room was very large and comfortable with a balcony and private soaking tub. The buffet style dinner and breakfast were delicious. Huge variety of freshly prepared foods. All you could eat and drink, beer, wine, various alcohol, sake, in the restaurant. The reception area had a piano, wood burning central fireplace to sit around. There were small tables with various board games, a library, snacks, beer and wine. Comfortable seating overlooking the hillside that was lit up at night. Very romantic spot to go for a special night.

Suzukiya Ryokan offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 49 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 47 km of the Site of Sendai Castle. With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The ryokan features family rooms. The staff were exceptional, to the point where I feel a 10 is not a high enough rating. Everyone was amazing and understanding, even with the slight language barrier. The facilities were wonderful and as a return guest, I can guarantee that any future visit I make to the area, I will be certain to stay at this property again.

The place is quiet and very zen. It is perfect for those looking for peace and want to meditate. The onsen facilities are clean and heavenly. There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

The ryokan provides a spa experience, with its sauna, hot spring bath and public bath. The accommodation features a lift, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. They were prepared to deal with guests of the world via technology and an open-minded attitude. The food was a delicious collection of the local ocean's best and the service excellent and friendly. We had an amazing time there, especially for a first stop on our Japan journey. Thank you! :D

Everything was perfect: spacious room with all amenties that you need, super friendly and helpful staff, beautifully designed lounges and relaxing onsen! The hotel also offers transfer from Sendai station and transportation in the neighbourhood. Additionally I highly recommend to reserve dinner - the food was not only delicious but served beautifully. It is a really marvellous experience.

From the onsens to the food and the facilities, there wasn't one thing we would change or complain about. Definitely was the highlight of our trip.

The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We loved the decor, and the graciousness of the owners. We would return.
