3.9 km from Sukumo City History Museum, みなと館 華 is a recently renovated property located in Sukumo and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Dinner and breakfast were good and delicious. The owner was very kind to fetch me from the station in the evening and he drove me back to the station in the morning in the rain which was much appreciated by me.

Situated in Ōtaguchi in the Kochi region, 山荘梶ヶ森 features accommodation with access to a public bath. The host was friendly. Cool observatory and knowledgeable staff! Managed to capture milky way and stars in the car park area. Just a short drive up, a good place for sunrise and sea of clouds in the morning. Not the easiest hotel to get to, but certainly worth the time up to stay here. Make sure you get up before the sun goes down.

Staff service was excellent.

The hotel room is one of the best traditional japanese style rooms that I have stayed in, and had everything I could've possibly wanted from a hotel in Japan. From the onsen on the top floor, tea for morning enjoyment, clean bathroom, and tons of space for all my items, this hotel has got you covered.

Traditional Japanese hotel whose owners/staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible and they were more than happy to cater for my food allergies. We had great company and conversation with other guests with using our basic Japanese and via google translate. A beautiful setting.

Set within 1.5 km of Sukumo City History Museum and 8 km of Enkoji Temple, まなべ旅館 offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sukumo. This hotel is absolutely great. It’s extremely clean, the personal is lovely! The futon is comfortable and the shower is very good. We had to beautiful kimonos to wear and rest. He are pilgrims from Shikoku88 and we highly recommend.
