The friendly staff held our luggage for the day but also let us check into the room a few hours early, and it was a lovely spacious Japanese style room including tatami floors but with two twin actual mattress beds. The room was huge with a nice view and was only a short walk from Kochi Station. It's only a short walk to the city area as well. Loved the Japanese style breakfast. My friend was ill so the staff were really helpful to help me take her food to our room and eat it there. It cost a little more than our usual budget but it was worth paying a little extra for a fancy night of Japanese style accommodation with friendly staff.

If you would like to discover the area, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the ryokan can arrange a bicycle rental service. Very cool telescope and awesome about serving late dinner. It is a very interesting drive up to the location and good for families and hostel goers.
