The guesthouse is about 2 minutes walking from Higashiyama district and another 2 minutes walking from the river promenade. If you like walking you can also walk to Kenrokuen (about 20 minutes). We didn't use the bus while being there. The guesthouse decoration is lovely. It feels like stepping into a museum! :D You can tell that the hosts really love their house and they want everything to be perfect :D Finally, the hosts are very nice and helpful!!
