The people that work at Kurumiya are extremely nice and friendly and everybody does more than just the best to please the guests. We felt like royalty staying at this place, the breakfast was sensational and the room was super clean and beautiful. The onsen was great and it will be missed. We hope to return to Kurumiya again one day and stay at the place we absolutely fell in love with.

The highlight of this place is the staff. I will always remember the people I met here. They took the time to explain everything we needed to know and more about our room, the dishes we ate, the plates our food was served on and the main attractions to visit. They were always ready to answer every request and need for help. Their kindness was incomparable. But it was not just them. The room was beautiful: big and comfortable, with its own onsen. And the food was delicious: hands-down the best dinner and the best breakfast I had during my stay in Japan. Thank you for this authentic and fascinating experience!

Guests at the ryokan can enjoy an Asian breakfast. At Shirasagiyu Tawaraya, the traditional restaurant is open for dinner and serves Japanese cuisine. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Amazing stay all around. The staff were extremely friendly and the hot springs by the river were fantastic. The meals were by far the best japanese food I've ever had. Located in a beautiful town with lots of shops and a nice walking trail along the river. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a traditional onsen ryokan experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was very good, and he service was excellent. Kanazawa was charming.

It’s incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts, Bungo and his mother were very kind and made us feel spoiled and at home. Very recommended

All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Yukata robes are provided. Meal service (both dinner and breakfast) was wonderful and an experience one would struggle to find elsewhere as a tourist in your typical restaurant. Staff were very mindful and their semi-broken English didn't hurt communication at all. Overall a very positive experience!
