黒梅屋 Kurumiya ligger i Kanazawa, mindre end 1 km fra Kanazawa Slot, og har en have, en bar og gratis privat parkering. It is a small ryokan with only 5 rooms. Seems like it is family run. Very well thought out rooms which had everything we needed. All the furniture, fittings and toiletries were top notch. The lobby is very nice as well with many types of beverages and snacks. The breakfast is excellent traditional Japanese food. They took care of our dietary restrictions as well. The photos do not do justice to this place. The hospitality was excellent. It is a little on the expensive side, but everything was great and our stay was relaxing. Definitely our best stay in Japan.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this place. The area is stunning and the accommodation is spacious and cozy, and had everything we needed. It was the highlight of our honeymoon trip to stay in this ryokan. We were also able to choose between Japanese and European style breakfast in the morning which was nice. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay there longer. Thank you :)

Vi kan varmt anbefale at bo hos B&B MIKAWA. Vi var meget glade for at bo her og opleve det hyggelige lokalsamfund. Stedet ligger tæt på stationen med gode forbindelser til bl.a. Kanazawa. Vi havde gavn af at låne cykler hos B&B hvorved vi nemt kunne komme rundt og se lokalområdet samt nyde de gode lokale restauranter i området. Fantastisk sted.

The place is very beautiful and well-maintained, a nice mix of tradition and modern style. The owner is kind and helpful. The futons are very comfortable, as is the whole accommodation. The breakfast is also excellent

Shirasagiyu Tawaraya ligger i Kaga, 27 km fra Eiheiji-templet og 31 km fra Phoenix Plaza. Her er gratis wi-fi. This was a unique experience. Having a hot open air bath to the sounds of birds and a waterfall… unforgettable. Beautiful view from the room, the facilities are all new and clean, the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful

The Japanese breakfast was fantastic. The western breakfast was subpar in comparison. I would have loved to have had some homemade jam with my bread. Usually western breakfast does not need olive oil with their bread. Olive oil for dipping is more of a lunch/dinner option.

Boasting a 200-year history, Motoyu Ishiya features classic architecture, an original Noh stage and a garden. This is an incredible experience! Authentic 230 years old ryokan owned for 9 generation of this family. I've never seen more polite, attentive and helpful staff than this. They would take care of your luggages from the taxi and will load it back to the taxi when you leave, clean the wheels, anticipate your needs. The dinner is a fantastic 10+ Japanese dining experience, where you can try a variety of local traditional dishes. You can purchase alcohol too if you like. The 100-year old Noh theater stage is unique, and the owner can give you a tour if you request it. The garden is well kept and beautiful. The ryokan has many little pockets and areas to relax, read a book, enjoy the views on the garden. Quiet and relaxing. You can reach it by taxi, or by train/bus + a short taxi from the local station; trust me it's worth a ride. The ryokan is filled with little details, like ceramics and art pieces, antique artifacts like from a museum. The onsen water has many healing properties (there is a certificate by the entrance with the water evaluation summary). It's coffee colored and considered to be 'beauty spa'. Men and women are separate; no access to the outdoors, but you can see the view on the forest during the day time. There are little massaging machines for feet and back available to the guests for free. The room is traditional style, with all the essentials, amazing green tea. Very impressive experience overall.
