Japanese-style rooms feature a tatami (woven mat) floor and shoji sliding paper screens. Some rooms offer tranquil views of the Seto Inland Sea. They are fitted with an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and traditional futon beds. An en suite bathroom and yukata robes are provided. It was all AMAZING. The property is a little older but in a very good way (very nostalgic for me). Such good vibes in the lobby and the room was beautiful with a big window looking out over the water. I had never before had kaizeki in my room in this way, or had public onsen, and this experience was absolutely fantastic. The food was very good both at dinner and for breakfast. The bedding was comfortable. I have no complaints and every compliment!

Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding on the tatami (woven mat) floor. We were delighted by our room and the whole ryokan. It had real authentic Japanese feel to it. The view from the room was magnificent, we were looking right at the torii gate. The dinner course was superb and very diverse. We aslo enjoyed the private onsen.

They brought it to our room and had an English menu to explain what the different food items were. The onsen was also very nice and we also enjoyed having drinks in the rooftop bar area! I would definitely stay here again!

Meals are served at the dining room. Beautiful ryokan-style guesthouse, 15 mins walk from the ferry terminal so slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area near the terminal. Incredible traditional Japanese breakfast and lovely shared bathroom with huge bath tub! Very close to beautiful white-sand beach!

The attention to detail at this resort was impeccable, as was the quality of service. It is perfectly situated, being far enough away from the crowds, but within easy walking distance of the Torii gate, the "downtown" area, and the ropeway station for the ride up the mountain. Adjacent to the facility is a picturesque stream with the quintessential red colored pedestrian bridge. Be sure to sign up for the delicious breakfast and dinner; the same meal enjoyed by the heads of state at the recent G7 Summit held here. I will definitely be returning with my spouse to bask in the peace and tranquility of Miyajima.
