My stay at the Hotel Kurobe was incredible from the moment I arrived to the moment I was taken to the railway station in the hotel shuttle. Every member of staff was welcoming, thoughtful and kind. The room was amazing and the view spectacular. The public baths in the hotel are awesome. The breakfast left me speechless. So thoughtful, and beautifully prepared. Sometimes you come across a gem. This is one, and such a pleasant surprise in every regard. Our room was a very luxurious, Japanese style bedroom on 7th floor overlooking the gorge. The dinner was truly wonderful and they managed to provide gluten free soy sauce (coeliac), despite not claiming to provide for individual allergies.
