Everything was top notch, from accommodation to the very friendly and helpful staff. Object has shuttle bus that will take you to JR Kameoka which is great way to get back to Kyoto. Much recommended

Gorgeous property with lovely staff. This was the highlight of the Japanese trip for us! Quite a few locals at the place as well which is always nice. I did a lot of research to find a ryokan that had a private onsen in the room as well as a lovely ground outdoor one for private booking and this one ticked all the boxes! So lucky I found this place! Food in the private dining was also lovely. It really felt like a proper 5 star experience so it was well worth the cost. The shuttle pick up was also extremely punctual and convenient.

It's gorgeous. It is absolutely stunning. You get transported into this beautiful lobby that instantly inspires. The room that I had was traditional but lacked nothing you'd need to have a comfortable stay. I loved how my outside view was all greenery, mainly trees. It felt private and like I was enjoying a bath in nature. The staff was also very kind and excellent. If you go to this hotel, be sure to call them for a shuttle bus, it makes it a lot easier to reach.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful. It was a peaceful stay. Despite some construction work outside, no noise came through into our room. The suite was beautiful and the half-outdoor bath was stunning! We had a kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both were delicious and had a beautiful assortment of food.

The room was incredible with an amazing view and the private onsen in the room overlooking the river and bridge was truly special. Everything was clean and it was very spacious, with comfortable beds and amenities.

The hotel is very nice; it has all the amenities necessary for a great stay. Staff was friendly and the room very spacious. The open air onsen is a must and a great place to go after a day seeightseeing Kyoto.

Best hotel in Kyoto for sure. Most importantly, the room was really big and comfortable. Japanese breakfast in the room was amazing. Hotel staff was very very helpful and kind. Hotel overall is very comfortable and you can enjoy Japanese style accommodation at some extent. Location is also quite nice. A quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to train/metro stations + center locations.

The service is great. They offer Coffee and tea in the afternoon. The breakbast was limited but OK. The bathroom was clean. The beds were confortable. They offer a ticket to the onsen nearby which was excellent.

Lovely experience to stay in Sakura Urushitei. We had Japanese style room and couldn't be happier sleeping in cozy futons and softest blankets in such a beautiful surroundings. Had Japanese breakfast each morning, remember to book breakfast in advance :) Ryokan has own bath which can be booked for private use. Convenient location very near Shijo station and Kawaramachi.
